Overview

Maintain and service industrial electrical systems on BHP Jansen Project.

Tasks

-Keep construction, maintenance, and quality documentation -Effectively instruct, mentor and coach electrical apprentices and team members to support safe and efficient job/task execution -Take part and engage in Shermco Proactive Safety Reporting and leading indicators -Install new and maintain low, medium, and high voltage equipment -Engage in client field audit/inspection activities -Work around energized power and control equipment -Determine appropriate selection of materials -Determine appropriate application of installations and ensure Canadian Electrical Code compliance -Will be responsible to become familiar with, abide by, and to administer the Shermco Health, Personnel and Safety policies -Construct, alter, repair, and test all electrical components that are integral to the operations of industrial activities and electrical systems

What You Bring

-Red Seal Interprovincial Journeyman Certificate -Must have a valid driver's license and able to maintain a clean abstract -Experience in maintenance of electrical systems considered an asset -Industrial facility safe work qualifications/training considered asset -Will adhere to Shermco’s Alcohol and Drug Policy as defined -Experience in industrial and/or commercial setting considered an asset -Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently -All PPE and FR/AF rated workwear provided, including winter gear and rain gear provided -Work safely in a fast-paced environment
