Operate forklift to safely receive, stage, and ship materials in a manufacturing facility.

Tasks
-Follow all operational and safety SOP’s as written -Pay attention to detail when pulling items from Wearhouse based on work order -Conduct pre-shift inspection of the forklift to ensure safety and operational compliance -Consolidate all orders for shipping -Pull all production wrap lines as required -Receive items into the facility/Ships all items correct to the customer -Maintain a safe and clean work environment -Directs work of warehouse attendants and operators to efficiently expedite the loading and unloading of materials -Replace pallets/runners as necessary to maintain a safe working environment -Provide safe operation of forklift throughout the facility. Abide by all safety rules and regulations required with forklift operation -Reads/interprets shipping schedules, stages doors, sorts by length, width, customer, core type to create correct stacks for shipping

What You Bring
-Required to mount and dismount forklift multiple times per day -Fuel forklifts as required -Desirable (but not required): Intermediate computer skills in programs such as MS Word, MS Excel and Outlook, with fast and accurate data entry skills -Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field -Prior forklift operation in manufacturing environment -Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment and have ability to multi-task -Forklift knowledge and safety procedures -Regular attendance and timeliness is an essential function of the job in order to avoid having any disruptions in production and customer service -2-3 Years in the field or related area -Ability to organize and maintain detailed records -Solid verbal and written communication skills Revised 4/28/20 -Strong analytical skills -Self-driven, accountable, high integrity, open communicator, strong work ethic -Ability to lift to 50+ lbs. -Must demonstrate solid teamwork abilities -Ability to work independently and effectively in a team environment -Must understand all shipping documents in order to understand the space required for product -Must be able to work extended hours and overtime as needed both daily and on weekends if business need requires -Must read and write English
