HVAC Apprentice

Overview

Assist technicians with HVAC maintenance, repairs, installations, and logs.

Tasks

-Perform all assigned work so as to ensure the safety of the building occupants and insure continuous operation. -Conduct periodic general preventative maintenance on HVAC systems. This includes normal lubrication, adjustment, cleaning, replacement of consumable parts (filters, indicator lights, etc) and periodic testing of equipment. -Assist with the install of new HVAC systems in both residential and commercial properties, ensuring proper operation and function. -Assisting with all preventive maintenance, necessary maintenance and minor repairs to the HVAC systems on commercial and residential properties. Must have working knowledge of building mechanical, electrical, and HVAC systems to ensure proper operations.

What You Bring

-Willingness to work overtime as and when needed -Company Provided iPad or Laptop (dependent on company requirements) -Ability to lift 20-50 pounds -Prepare and maintain maintenance logs and records. Familiarity with preventative maintenance and work order software systems. -Strong work ethic and pride in work quality -Ability to be a team player -HVAC diagnostic and troubleshooting, maintenance, and installation skills -1-3 years of previous experience -Ability to handle multiple projects and make decisions using FMM's core values of Quality, Teamwork, Integrity, Safety, and Versatility -HVAC Certification -Ability to utilize iPad for work order distribution, teams meeting, email, etc. -High School Diploma -Ability to regularly climb stairs and ladders -Ability to work indoors and outdoors in hot or cold temperatures -Basic knowledge of electrical, HVAC, and mechanical skills -Ability to pass a Fit for Duty Screening -Knowledge of all commercial HVAC equipment (AHUs, VAVs, etc.) -Proficient in computer, text, and email skills -Able to install and perform preventative and repair maintenance on generators.
