Overview

Install, maintain, and troubleshoot high voltage switchgear and related electrical systems.

Tasks

-Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components. -Install fixtures, wiring conduits, motors, and other electrical equipment. Inspect circuits for specified shielding and grounding. -Specialize in working on both low, medium, and high voltage switchgear including breakers with relays, motor starters, VFD’s, load break switches, transformers, load banks, and batteries. -Periodically inspect equipment, and locate and correct problems before breakdowns occur -Locate and determine electrical malfunctions using test equipment.

What You Bring

-Ability to move or lift objects, typically less than 50 lbs. -High school diploma or GED or equivalent years of relevant experience and/or training -You'll be based out of our Baltimore, MD service center and can expect to work in the field with up to 50 to 75%% travel. -Valid driver's license -8+ years of formal technical training -Proven knowledge of the principles of electricity and electrical design -10+ years’ experience in the installation, repair and maintenance of electrical switchgear, this will include both low volt and medium voltage power distribution gear.  Should have knowledge with protection relays and meters
