Overview

Test and ensure quality of electrical switchboard assemblies in production

Tasks

-Perform pre-inspection of mechanical and electrical assemblies to ensure compliance with bills of materials, schematics, and drawings. -Document and report quality issues using the Autodesk build platform. -Provide on-floor support to manufacturing teams to ensure adherence to quality standards. -Interpret electrical schematics and conduct tests on assemblies (dielectric, continuity, torque, device configuration, functionality). -Support continuous improvement initiatives within the production environment. -Maintain a strong safety-first approach and apply electrical safety practices. -Issue non-conformities and verify corrective actions on products. Record all test results in ABB’s quality documentation system in an organized manner.

What You Bring

-Bilingual (French and English); French required, English for communication with clients outside Quebec. -Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics; experience with UL or CSA standards is an asset. -Minimum 5 years of experience testing electrical products or systems. -Strong autonomy, proactivity, and team spirit; experience in customer communication is an asset. -College diploma (DEC) in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
