The Role

Overview

Inspect construction sites, ensure compliance, and manage documentation.

Tasks

-Performing field observation/inspection. -Material sampling and testing. -You may also help with surveying, proposals, project budgets and schedules and may be involved in design-build, pavement management, or a variety of other technical related activities. -Prepare pay estimates, and produce project documentation for private, municipal, county, MnDOT, NDDOT, and federal projects. -Verify compliance with the plans and specifications. -Documentation will include daily diaries, quantity calculations and backup documentation, letters, memos, and spreadsheets.

What You Bring

-1+ years of construction inspection or related experience is required (5+ years of experience preferred). -Excellent technical, communication, organizational skills. -Valid driver’s license with a good driving record is required. -Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. -Applicant must be willing to travel and perform assigned duties outside of the immediate Fargo area. -Material testing experience as well as current DOT technical certifications are preferred. Qualified candidates should send a copy of your current DOT certification card when applying. -Municipal, heavy civil roadway and bridge construction inspection who want to better themselves and want to be challenged. -You must have the ability to work in a variety of weather conditions and terrains associated with construction sites.
