Lead land acquisition and consenting for major infrastructure projects.

Tasks
-Act as a trusted advisor to clients, providing strategic guidance -Ensure that WSP H&S procedures are adhered to for all site work -Negotiate Heads of Terms and compensation settlements with landowners and their agents -Project Management of Land projects on time, within budget and to high standards -Successfully led a technical team of land consultants to deliver land consenting or land assembly services on water or infrastructure projects -Liaise with key stakeholders and landowners as well as land agents, auctioneers, legal representatives, planning authorities, contractors and clients -Contribute to business development and the delivery of the business strategy -Manage statutory processes including Water Industry Act (WIA), Compulsory Purchase Orders (CPO), Development Consent Orders (DCO), and Transport & Works Act Orders (TWAO) -Prepare and review consent documentation, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation -Work closely with Land team colleagues and collaborate with WSP teams in the engineering, environmental, and planning disciplines -Lead a project team for the acquisition of land rights, wayleaves, and easements for major projects. -Management and development of a team of early career professionals providing both technical training and career development support

What You Bring
-Ideally have experience of managing land projects in the water industry -Strong knowledge and experience of UK statutory consent requirements, such as the WIA, Hybrid Bill, DCO, CPO, and Vesting Orders as well as an understanding of the land and property industry would be beneficial -Evidence of leading teams to deliver complex work -The ability to work in a fast-paced environment on major infrastructure projects in multi-disciplinary teams -A full driving licence is required -Good commercial awareness with an understanding of budget, scope, change control and other project management activities -Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with colleagues, landowners and client at all levels -Excellent communication and organisational skills and ability to liaise at all levels with both internal and external stakeholders -General IT skills, Microsoft Office suite including Teams, and strong skills with GIS/mapping tools -Demonstrable experience of reducing land risk for clients and advising them on land related matters throughout all stages of a project lifecycles
