Overview
Design and support substation electrical projects from concept to construction.

Tasks
-Complies with all policies and standards -Compiles information for client presentations, shop drawing review, and contract administration for the design of power, process, pipeline, industrial, healthcare, airports, educational institutions, commercial, and governmental and military facilities. -Perform electrical design of projects from the conceptual phase through design completion. -Performs field inspections, measurements or calculations for public and private clients. -Modify and review physical substation production drawings for projects encompassing the design of yard layouts, plans, sections and details, grounding, lighting protection, control building arrangements, interior and exterior raceways, auxiliary AC/DC power systems, and associate bills of materials. -Update drawings provided by senior engineers to verify corrections are made within multiple CAD related software. -Research and compile project related data as required by the project managers.

What You Bring
-Ability to work methodically and analytically in a quantitative problem-solving environment and demonstrated critical thinking skills. -Strong computer skills include AutoCAD, MicroStation, 2D and 3D rendering programs and other analysis programs. -Successful completion of the NPPE exam preferred. -Strong computer skills (e.g. Microsoft Office Suite) -Applies strong knowledge of commonly used electrical engineering/design concepts, principles, practices, codes, and procedures within the electrical engineering services industry. -Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering or related degree from an accredited program and 3 years of electrical engineering experience, consulting preferred. -Master Degree in Electrical Engineering can substitute for 1 year of professional related experience. -Strong knowledge in standard engineering techniques and procedures. -Protection and Control design including panel arrangements, one lines/single lines, three lines AC schematics, DC elementaries, equipment wiring and relay panel wiring for project needs and requirements that are set forth by the project managers. -Strong attention to detail, facilitation, team building, collaboration, organization and problem-solving skills. -Proficient in standard engineering techniques and procedures. -Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
