Tasks

-Deliver advanced market analysis and simulations to support trading and origination. -Conduct asset-level market simulations (e.g., PLEXOS, custom models) for wind, solar, battery storage, and hybrid assets. -Influence PPAs, pricing, and trading strategies. -Forecast Marginal Loss Factors (MLF) and Distribution Loss Factors (DLF) for project evaluation. -Model asset-level revenues across wholesale, arbitrage, and ancillary markets. -Provide actionable insights to the trading desk and origination team on pricing, risk, and strategy. -Monitor market fundamentals, policy changes, and regulatory reforms to assess impact on asset revenues and trading exposures. -Contribute commercial analysis and recommendations for investment approvals, deal structuring, and strategy forums. -Work for a global renewable energy leader with strong growth plans. -Hands-on market analysis across solar, wind, and storage assets. -Develop site-specific market forecasts and dispatch projections to support project finance, due diligence, and trading strategies. -Work closely with origination and trading teams to structure PPAs, hedge strategies, and revenue optimisation cases. -Assess curtailment, negative pricing exposure, and network constraint risks. -Model revenues across wholesale arbitrage, ancillary services (e.g., FCAS), and other value streams. -Produce concise market briefings and analytics for senior management, clients, and counterparties.

What You Bring

-3-6 years' experience in energy markets analysis, modelling, or trading analytics. -Strong understanding of wholesale electricity markets, ancillary service markets, and renewable/storage project economics. -Experience assessing network constraints, curtailment, and loss factors. -Hands-on experience with market modelling tools (e.g., PLEXOS, BIDSTACK, NEMDE analysis, Python, R, or similar). -Commercially aware with excellent quantitative and analytical skills. -Strong communicator with ability to translate complex market analysis into actionable insights. -Degree in Engineering, Economics, Mathematics, Finance, or similar; postgraduate degree preferred. -Proven track record in providing market insights that support commercial decisions (trading, origination, or investment).
