Tasks
-Work closely with trade partner quality control personnel to understand their QC procedures. Review the trade partner’s quality control logs and ensure corrective actions are implemented, when required. -Perform all initial and follow-up inspections and manage the punch list process. Inspections are conducted to verify that trade partner work complies with the project specifications and applicable codes. This includes performing material inspections to verify that the products are to specifications and that storage, staging and material handling methods are implemented. -Constantly operates a computer and other office machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, phone, computer, and computer printer. -Constantly computes, analyzes, and conceptualizes mathematical calculations and formulas. -Participate in submittal reviews, weekly QC meetings and preparatory meetings. -The individual in this position will periodically walk, kneel, sit, crouch, reach, stoop, read/see, speak, push, pull, lift, stand, and finger/type. The frequency of each action varies by workflow and office activity. -Stooping – Bending the body downward and forward by the spine at the waist. -Climbing – Ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding and ramps at various heights. -Constantly reads written communications and views mail submissions. Will also need to read blueprints and take/verify field measurements. -Assist with the coordination and scheduling of third-party testing and source inspections. Interface with third party testing agencies, as necessary. -Maintain records that identify areas inspected, tests performed and any significant findings. Initiate deficiency reports and track their resolution to the satisfaction of all stakeholders. -Interface directly with the owner’s quality assurance team on all quality-related issues.

-Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (i.e., Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.). -Balancing – Ability to maintain body equilibrium to prevent falling and to walk, stand or crouch. -Strong understanding of federal, state, and local reporting requirements and regulations. -Physical Exam (if applicable) -Visual acuity and ability to operate a vehicle as certified and appropriate. -Verification of Work Authorization and Employment Eligibility -Computer software - Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel-based templates, Prolog, Primavera and AutoCAD. -Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. -Must be able to manage multiple tasks and have excellent follow-up skills both internally and externally. -Be technically experienced and capable of comprehending the specifications, standards and code requirements for all disciplines. -Strong communication skills (verbal and written). -Walking - The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, boxes, cabinets, etc. -Background Checks for Badging/Security Clearances (if applicable) -A valid Driver’s License. -A 4-year degree in civil or structural engineering, architecture, or construction management. -Frequently exposed to noisy environments and outdoor elements such as precipitation and wind. -Minimum of 1-2 years’ experience on large commercial construction projects.
