Tasks

-Foster a safe and cooperative work environment and provide mentorship to apprentices or junior mechanics as needed. -Communicate effectively with internal teams to ensure smooth coordination and timely project completion. -Ensure all work is performed with a focus on quality—no shortcuts—with all units running flawlessly upon completion. -Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues on-site and implement effective solutions. -Perform physically demanding tasks such as lifting, climbing, stooping, walking, and handling heavy materials. -Perform thorough checks and inspections to ensure compliance with building codes and manufacturer guidelines. -Lead and execute the installation, maintenance, and service of elevators and lifts according to technical specifications and safety standards.

What You Bring

-Grade 12 diploma is required; must be certified as an Elevator Constructor and Mechanic. -Neat, clean appearance with a customer-focused attitude. -Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude with hands-on experience in elevator systems. -Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Lead Mechanic in elevator installation. -Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. -Exhibit professional conduct at all times—courteous, respectful, and representing Savaria with integrity when dealing with customers, colleagues, and other trades. -Valid driver's license in good standing.
