Assist M&E design coordination, manage design queries, risks, and compliance across projects.

Tasks

-Review, maintain and update MEP documentation regularly. -Lead design team meetings and manage coordination between disciplines. -Seek and evaluate new systems and products that can improve quality, reduce cost, and ensure compliance with evolving regulations and planning conditions. -Monitor subcontractor technical queries, RFI’s, and technical submissions. -Stay informed of legislative and regulatory changes affecting M&E design and site processes. -Arrange and/or attend M&E workshops to ensure full coordination and regulatory compliance. -Report to the M&E Construction Manager on any risks, opportunities, and mitigation strategies to maintain the project completion date -Manage BREEAM, HUG, and ESG requirements, including consultant appointments and credit tracking to maintain compliance. -Promote a collaborative team culture and maintain transparent communication with project teams and the wider business. -Collaborate with consultant design teams to answer technical queries and manage variation orders in line with the procurement and construction programmes. -Sponsorship of professional qualifications and accreditation's -Support the tracking and issue of M&E O&M manuals and handover documents, ensuring al record documents are received and stored appropriately. -Collaborate with the construction team to identify and manage risks and opportunities arising from M&E-related change orders. -Carry out site reviews and assist with troubleshooting to resolve technical issues as they arise. -Review and analyse incoming design information to ensure clarity and coordination with the construction team.

What You Bring

-Previous experience in managing the tender and selection process for external consultants -Proficient in basic Microsoft packages including Word, Excel and Outlook with the ability to learn new systems as needed. -Outstanding communication skills across face-to-face, telephone, and email interactions, with a professional approach. -Educated to Degree Level or equivalent (Mechanical & Electrical or similar). -Experience working for a Property Developer and/or Main contractor previously. -Detailed knowledge of building regulations and statutory requirements. -Previous experience managing the M&E design process upon large residential projects. -Detailed knowledge of all MEP systems. -Educated to HNC level or equivalent (Mechanical & Electrical / Skilled Trade or similar). We will also consider, and value qualified by experience.
