Machine Operator

Overview

Operate production machines, perform QC checks, package and handle materials.

Tasks

-Efficiently supervise production equipment. -Carry out production, inspection, packaging, and machine operation duties. -Perform quality control checks, follow reporting and recordkeeping procedures, and report problems to supervisor. -Inspect and report potential unsafe or hazardous conditions. -Maintain a safe and clean work environment while adhering to all safety policies and procedures. -Identify, transfer, and load material for production. -Perform quality checks using micrometers, calibers, and tape measures. -Package pipe in accurate pallet sizes and quantities and document production.

What You Bring

-Experience with the use of basic hand tools. -Must be 18 years of age or older. -Requires good mobility and involves considerable routine walking, standing for long periods, bending, stooping, and lifting (to a maximum of 80 lbs). -Use basic hand tools and operate forklift. -High School diploma or equivalent. -Good team player including with a demonstrated ability to contribute to and foster a positive team environment. -Must be able to perform job responsibilities safely in a manufacturing environment. -Detail oriented with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. -Must be a self-starter with good interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills coupled with an eagerness to learn. -Must be knowledgeable in measurement systems and basic math. -Must be eager to learn, excited to work on a team, and have good written and verbal communication skills. -Experience operating a forklift is considered an asset.
