Tasks
Position Summary:The Apprentice is responsible for assisting journeyman electricians in planning, installing, and repairing electrical systems. This position performs maintenance tasks, troubleshoot electrical issues, and learns how to safely handle electrical equipment and tools. The apprentice will receive on-the-job training and are required to be enrolled in a classroom-based apprenticeship program to enhance their knowledge and skills in the electrical trade. -Using testing devices to check the functionality of electrical systems, identify faults, and ensure compliance with safety regulations. Participate in inspections as required. -Participate in conducting routine maintenance of electrical systems to ensure they are in proper working condition. This may include supporting troubleshooting, repairs, and replacements. -Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring safety standards are followed. -Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment. Identify and mitigate potential electrical hazards. -Participate in diagnosing electrical issues and develop effective solutions. -Learn from journeyman electricians to perform the installation of electrical systems, wiring, lighting, and equipment according to local and national electrical codes. -Travel to job sites in the Ohio, Kentucky, and Indiana area. -Maintain accurate records of work performed. -Attend training sessions, workshops, and educational classes to enhance skills and knowledge. -Stay updated on local and national electrical codes and regulations. Ensure all work meets the required standards. -Interact with clients to understand their electrical needs, provide recommendations, and address any concerns.

What You Bring
-Ability to lift and carry objects up to 50 pounds. -Comfortable working in various weather conditions and environments. -Enrollment in an accredited electrical apprenticeship program required -Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills. -Previous experience in electrical, construction or a related field is a plus -Capable of standing, kneeling, and crouching for extended periods. -Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team -Good communication skills for interacting with coworkers and clients. -Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely -Learn to interpret and follow electrical blueprints, schematics, and diagrams to plan and execute installations accurately. -Basic understanding of electrical systems and principles.
