Overview

Assist electricians on installations, safety, and documentation in commercial/industrial projects.

Tasks

-Operate a variety of hand and power tools under supervision, ensuring they are used correctly and safely. -Maintain records of work activities, such as materials used, work completed, and any changes made to electrical systems. -Strictly adhere to safety procedures and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others. -Maintain accurate and detailed hour log of service and project time. -Perform/Support work alongside experienced electricians, assisting them with various tasks such as installing electrical systems, fixtures, and equipment.

What You Bring

-Ability to work effectively in a fast paced, evolving, work environment. -Ability to travel up to 75% of the time. Travel may include various means of transportation including automobile, public transportation, rail, and airplane. -High school Diploma or Equivalent. -Demonstrated safety training/education preferred. OSHA 10 card preferred. -Some knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems focused on energy savings potential. -Installation of electrical materials/equipment such as wire, conduit etc. is helpful but not required. -Willing to support lead journeyman electrician with Analysis, Reports, MOP Sign off on work performed at job sites. -The ability to follow directions from lead electrician on site. -Communicate effectively with team members and supervisor. -Some knowledge electrical theory, blueprint reading, and the National Electric Code (NEC) to understand the technical aspects of the trade is helpful but not required. -Able to pass drug screening and background check. -Valid New York Driver’s license. -Some knowledge in installation/repair of building automation system (BAS) equipment such as sensors, actuators, including landing of such equipment to BAS panel components is helpful but not required. -Experience in electrical trade is helpful but not required. -Some knowledge of installation/repair of mechanical equipment such as air handlers, chillers, ducting, dampers etc. is helpful but not required.
