Certification Project Engineer

Overview

Deliver certification services for passive fire protection products and systems

Key Responsibilities

Tasks

-Participate in internal and external audits to maintain compliance with ISO 17065 and BRE quality standards. -Develop and maintain test schedules, and review test data and documentation for accuracy and compliance. -Conduct technical reviews and evaluations of products against LPCB certification schemes, UKCA, and Construction Products Regulation requirements. -Liaise with internal teams, customers, approval agencies, and accreditation bodies to ensure smooth project delivery. -Prioritise and manage work to meet customer and organisational objectives while supporting team efficiency. -Manage certification projects from initial enquiry to issue of certificate, specification, and scope.

What You Bring

-Experience working with clients, internal teams, and external stakeholders in a technical or project-focused environment. -Experience in product testing, evaluation, and certification processes, including the review of technical data and documentation. -Technical competence in Passive Fire Protection and knowledge of relevant product standards, regulations, and certification schemes (LPCB, UKCA, CPR). -Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy. -Willingness to travel occasionally, within the UK and internationally. -Organisational skills to plan and manage multiple projects to meet deadlines and customer expectations. -Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to build and maintain professional relationships. -Understanding of management system standards (e.g., ISO 9001) and manufacturing processes.
