Tasks

-Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards and best practices. -Participate in preparing and presenting cost estimates to clients and stakeholders -Collaborate with project managers and engineers to ensure accurate and competitive estimates. -Perform quantity take-offs and develop detailed, comprehensive proposals. -Develop and manage concrete estimates for firm lump sum small-scale industrial projects. -Attend job walks to gather necessary information for project estimates. -Develop and manage concrete estimates for EPC projects, ensuring all aspects of engineering, procurement, and construction are accurately accounted for. -Participate in post-bid discussions to finalize bid prices and project scopes. -Engage in post-bid value engineering to optimize project costs and scope. -Collaborate effectively with the earthwork team to develop a comprehensive civil scope, schedule, and budget that aligns with project requirements and timelines. -Coordinate with EPC project teams to gather necessary information and ensure alignment with project goals. -Transition from estimating to the field team after successful bids to ensure smooth project execution and continuity.

What You Bring

-Proven experience in bidding for EPC projects, including a thorough understanding of the EPC process and requirements. -Excellent written and oral communication skills. -Experience in concrete estimating for firm lump sum projects -Proficiency in construction estimating software, MS Word and Excel -Ability to work independently and as part of a team. -10-15 years of experience in industrial construction. -Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills. -Ability to transition from estimating to the field team after successful bids to ensure project continuity and success. -College degree preferred. -Strong quantity take-off skills. -Communicate effectively, both in writing and orally, with team members and clients. -Knowledge of industry standards and best practices. -Ability to manage multiple estimates simultaneously and meet deadlines.
