Tasks

-Monitor project progress, budget, and schedule, identifying and mitigating risks and issues as they arise. -Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary team of engineers, designers, and technicians, fostering collaboration and professional growth. -Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and stakeholders, maintaining regular communication and managing expectations throughout the project lifecycle. -Leading and providing technical expertise in the design of municipal engineering projects, including geometric design, grading, drainage, utilities, roadway design, plan development, and cost estimating. -Develop project scopes, schedules, and budgets in collaboration with stakeholders and clients. -Provide guidance and support to team members, ensuring their understanding of project objectives and expectations. -Coordinate with internal teams, consultants, and subcontractors to ensure alignment with project objectives and requirements. -Review and approve design plans to ensure compliance with regulatory standards, codes, and project requirements. -Oversee the development of engineering drawings, specifications, and construction documents.

What You Bring

-Proficiency in independent preparation of Hydraulic/Hydrologic reports is a plus. -Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, preferably working as a licensed Professional Engineer. -The ability to engage reviewing agencies while preparing technical designs and addressing comments is a critical part of our process. The ideal candidate will be comfortable communicating and coordinating with review agencies. -8+ years' of experience in design and plan preparation. -Experience with industry design standards, guidelines and specifications (i.e., City of Lansing and surrounding counties/municipalities, MDOT, etc.) and knowledge of AutoCad/Civil 3D grading and/or Open Roads Designer is expected.
