Senior Electrical Designer

Overview

Design and coordinate electrical systems for power generation and utility projects.

Tasks

-Coordinate drawing packages for issue. -Coordinate electrical requirements with other disciplines involved on the projects. -Assist senior engineers in their tasks. -Participate in design projects from concept to completion. -Select electrical equipment, single line diagrams, cable trays and raceways (above ground and underground), grounding system, lighting and lightning protection systems, cable sizing, equipment arrangements and layouts. -Work closely with Electrical Lead to prepare designs for the assigned projects.

What You Bring

-Familiarity with Blue Beam. -Time management and multi-tasking abilities. -Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team environment. -Familiarity with National Electrical Code (NEC). -Minimum 5 Years’ experience in Electrical design, power generation, public utilities power distribution systems and similar industries. -Good communication skills. -Experience and knowledge of Revit/SmartPlant is an asset. -Proficient in AutoCAD design and drafting, as well as Microsoft office. -Ability to meet deadlines in high pressure environments.
