Tasks

-Assist with all aspects of economic geology and land issues -Learn about other CalPortland departments and interface as required -Carry-out and practice all safety training and Company policies -Assist in routine housekeeping and maintenance of the facilities -Mapping, mine planning, mineral exploration, permitting, research of government land issues, and environmental geology -Provide help, designing and budgeting for projects at multiple plant locations -Perform plant tasks as assigned -Attend summer intern orientation event at corporate headquarters in Las Vegas, NV

What You Bring

-Prior experience or internship in construction or building materials industry -Ability to work independently and in a team setting -Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, i.e., Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint -Good attendance and punctual -Must possess valid driver's license, insurance and be insurable to drive company vehicles -Complete Safety and MSHA training and any other site/job specific required training -Basic knowledge of CAD or GIS -Ability to hike up to 5 miles in desert summer conditions -Ability to work a flexible schedule. -Experience with equipment management software
