Tasks

In this role, you will support a range of municipal engineering projects from the proposal stage through to completion. Your mission will be to strengthen our team, helping ensure project objectives, schedules, and budgets are met. On any given day, you'll have the opportunity to interface directly with clients that include major urban centers, municipalities, First Nations, provincial agencies, federal organizations, and private industry. All of this will take place in a collaborative work environment where you will work together with other disciplines to get the job done. -Prepare associated design reports, studies, and contract documents. -Lead the municipal projects as the Project Manager to communicate with the client, subconsultants, contractors and ensure quality deliverables, budgets and schedules are met. -Prepare designs, drawings, and specifications for a variety of infrastructure projects including storm, sanitary systems, water distribution systems, storm detention ponds, force mains, lift stations, and site grading. -Communicate with clients, contractors, utilities, agencies, and stakeholders. -Support contract administration of construction assignments. -Provide on-site construction administration support and inspection of active projects. -Participate in multi-disciplinary teams from initial conceptualization through to final completion. -Participate in proposals and expressions of interest considering the methodology for undertaking potential projects.

What You Bring

-Minimum 8 working years of experience in Municipal Engineering and/or Water Resource Engineering -Familiarity with relevant municipal and guidance documents -Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from a recognized post-secondary institution -Ability to work independently -Experience in all or most of the following areas: water supply, treatment & distribution, wastewater collection & treatment, stormwater management, municipal servicing, and land development, site grading -Knowledge of storm and water hydraulic modeling using software such as PCSWMM, XPSWM, Infoworks, HEC-RAS, SWMHYMO, WaterCad, etc. -P.Eng. /E.I.T. designation, or eligible for registration as Professional Engineer/EIT with Engineers and Geoscientists of British Columbia -Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills -PMP designation -Familiarity with AutoCAD & Civil 3D -Ability to visit remote project sites -Experience supporting the planning, design, and implementation of various civil projects -Must possess a valid driver’s license and the ability/willingness to undergo security clearance checks

Benefits

The salary range for this position is $120,000 to $150,000 annually. Depending on your personal career path, you will focus on design development or take on project management responsibilities, under the leadership of our senior engineers.
