The Role
Overview
Support environmental field work, data analysis, and reporting for land development projects.

Tasks
-Assist with the planning and execution of field investigations by logging borings, collecting samples, performing field tests and collecting and recording data; -Effectively use reports, maps, drawings, engineering plans, tests, and aerial photographs to assess soil composition, terrain, hydrological characteristics, and topographical and geologic data and their impact on the planning and design of projects; and -Identify solutions to field and/or laboratory problems and accurately document results; -Monitor construction projects by taking various tests to evaluate whether the contractor or subcontractor has complied with job specifications; -Prepare laboratory data summary tables and figures; -Prepare reports documenting field investigations and analytical results; -Prepare a variety of standard logs and field forms (such as drilling logs, field investigation dailies, and chain of custody logs). -Conduct; file reviews, site reconnaissance, and prepares reports;

What You Bring
-Student actively pursuing a four year or advanced degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or Geology; -Learn data management and modeling tools for environmental media, how to perform engineering analyses, and how to properly use field equipment; -Excellent written and verbal communication skills; -Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or greater; -Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical, multitasking, and judgment capabilities; and -Ability to effectively work independently and in a team environment. -Ability to effectively work independently and in a team environment; -Possess reliable transportation to access job sites and a valid driver’s license in good standing; -Working knowledge of GIS or environmentally related software, and Microsoft Office Suite applications; -Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical and judgment capabilities;
