Tasks

-Manage quality control on site; maintain detailed QA records and as-built drawings. -Supervise and mentor junior engineers and site staff. -Interpret and implement design drawings, specifications and construction plans. -Implement health, safety and environmental standards in compliance with company and statutory policies. -Track construction progress, highlighting risks and resolving design or technical issues. -Attend site meetings and support programme planning with site management. -Ensure materials comply with specs and approve technical submittals. -Coordinate with project management, design teams, subcontractors and suppliers. -Oversee setting out, levels, and surveying activities using GPS, Total Station, and AutoCAD. -Complete RFI submissions, method statements, ITPs, and daily site reports.

What You Bring

We are seeking an experienced Site Engineer to join our project team on a large-scale residential construction project in Co. Galway. The successful candidate will take ownership of engineering activities on site, manage junior engineers, liaise with subcontractors, ensure technical accuracy, and contribute to the safe and timely delivery of the project. -Temporary Works or PSDP/PSCS knowledge an advantage. -Proficient in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office and surveying instruments. -Strong setting out and surveying experience. -Ideally experience working on residential construction -Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or related discipline. -2-3 relevant engineering experience -Proven ability to lead teams and work to tight project deadlines. -5+ years’ experience in site engineering on building or commercial projects in Ireland or the UK. -Excellent communication and coordination skills. -Safe Pass and manual handling certificates (required before site start). -Full Irish/UK driving licence. -Strong knowledge of BCAR, Irish Building Regulations, and construction standards.
