Tasks

Issuing and reviewing early warning notices -Report to senior managers on cost data, progress, and assumptions with clarity and impact -Mentoring junior team members -Leading client engagement to ensure delivery to specification and budget, while identifying contract improvements -Issuing payment certificates and valuation assessments -Issuing and reviewing early warning notices -Pricing and assessing compensation events -Updating risk registers and reviewing programmes -Develop and maintain cost accrual and forecast reports -Management of contracts from inception (pre-contract support e.g., tender evaluation) to completion (post-contract support) -Managing contractor and subcontractor accounts

What You Bring

Professional qualifications and/or membership of the RICS, CIOB, CICES, CIPS or other relevant Chartered Institute are desirable, and will be supported if not already attained. Experience of standard forms of contract, including the NEC suite of contracts. -Ideally HNC, HND or Degree qualified in a Quantity Surveying / Cost Management, Construction Law, or similar / relevant discipline, or in some case applicants with an alternative background (e.g.: Engineering) may be considered. -Operating with NEC form of Contract such as Option A, B, C and E as well as bespoke forms of contract -Broad spectrum of technical knowledge relating to Procurement, Supply Chain, Cost and Commercial Management - ideally both pre and post contract. -Professional qualifications and/or membership of the RICS, CIOB, CICES, CIPS or other relevant Chartered Institute are desirable, and will be supported if not already attained. -What we are looking for in our next Quantity Surveyor Relevant experience in Quantity Surveying/Commercial Management, experience in a regulated environment such as Data Centres, Life sciences, Pharmaceutical, Nuclear, major Infrastructure or Petrochemical sectors is essential. Broad spectrum of technical knowledge relating to Procurement, Supply Chain, Cost and Commercial Management - ideally both pre and post contract. Experience of standard forms of contract, including the NEC suite of contracts. Ideally HNC, HND or Degree qualified in a Quantity Surveying / Cost Management, Construction Law, or similar / relevant discipline, or in some case applicants with an alternative background (e.g.: Engineering) may be considered.
