The Role
Overview
Assist senior engineers in designing electrical systems for building projects.

Tasks
-Support engineers in conducting calculations for lighting, power distribution, and other electrical systems. -Assist in reviewing vendor and manufacturer submittals for compliance with design specifications. -Organize and maintain project files, documentation, and design revisions. -Coordinate with architects, mechanical engineers, and other disciplines to ensure design integration. -Research and apply relevant electrical codes and standards (e.g., NEC, IEEE, state/local codes). -Occasional travel may be required to sites for existing condition verifications. -Assist in the development of electrical system layouts, schematics, and plans using AutoCAD and Revit. -Participate in field visits to gather existing conditions and verify installation compliance. -Prepare and update electrical drawings and documentation based on engineer input and project specifications.

-Ability to work in a collaborative team environment and manage multiple tasks effectively. -Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. -Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field, required. -Occasionally required to stand; walk; climb, balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. -Proficiency in drafting and design software such as AutoCAD and Revit, required. -Basic understanding of electrical engineering principles, power distribution, and lighting design. -Repetitive manual movements (e.g., data entry, using a computer mouse, using a calculator, etc.) are frequently required. -Duties may require extended periods of sitting and sustained visual concentration on a computer monitor or on numbers and other detailed data. -Familiarity with National Electrical Code (NEC) and industry standards. preferred. -Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
