The Role
Overview
6‑month RCG program in Purchasing focusing on material take‑offs, vendor management, and cost analysis.

Tasks
-Estimate materials for new plans -Assist in evaluating new bid proposals -Maintain vendor files and contracts -Prepare bid requests for new/existing plans -Assist the Division team with plan value engineering to reduce costs, improve efficiency, and enhance performance. -Create and maintain accurate material take-offs (MTOs) or a detailed list of all the materials and quantities needed to complete construction projects. -Record and analyze take-off data. -Update/Correct purchase order issues -Maintain Division’s insurance compliance. -Monitor material usage in the field for overages/shortages to update/correct material take-offs -Complete the required forms by the Regional Operations Center (ROC)

What You Bring
-Organizational skills and attention to detail -Analytical and problem-solving skills -Verbal and written communication skills -Familiarity with construction management software packages -Willingness to relocate with support at the end of the program as needed (preferred) -Knowledge of construction management processes, means, and methods -Ability to work with various technologies and develop skills for new tools, platforms, and digital workflows -This position may be eligible for commissions. -Ability to read and understand residential blueprints -Current senior graduating from a 4-year college or University by June (preferred) -Knowledge of building products, construction details, and relevant rules, regulations, and standards -Working towards a bachelor's degree in construction, civil engineering, architecture, business, or a similar degree (preferred) -Time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines -Must be authorized to work in the United States without needing employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future.
