Tasks
-Meet with clients to define project scopes and clarify requirements -Guide and participate in assembling reports, plans, specifications, and contract documents -Lead and mentor a growing, dynamic bridge group in Indiana -Develop comprehensive project plans and conduct team meetings -Interact with construction contractors, staff, and subcontractors -Meet budgetary objectives and adjust constraints based on financial metrics -Manage staffing needs and track backlog for INDOT and KYTC projects -Conduct bridge analysis and design using structural software tools -Support project pursuits, scope development, and proposal writing -Collaborate with technical staff across Practice Areas and Markets -Collaborate remotely with colleagues across offices -Represent Hanson’s bridge group to clients, recruits, and professional organizations -Assign tasks based on team members' strengths and skills -Track project performance and analyze goal completion

What You Bring
-Experience with MicroStation and MS Office Suite (preferred) -Background with complex bridge types and technical society participation -Master's in Structural Engineering is preferred -Capable of independent problem-solving and collaborative teamwork -Experience with INDOT/KYTC project standards and municipal transportation projects -Minimum 8 years of experience in highway bridge design; railway experience is a plus -Demonstrated knowledge of accrual-based revenue recognition and ability to understand project budgets and financial reports -Professional Engineer (P.E.) licensure in Indiana or attainable within 6 months; KY licensure is desirable -Ability to generate scope and fee for task-specific service agreements -Willingness to take on diverse assignments and continually grow leadership skills -Proficient in structural design software: Bentley Leap Bridge (required), Midas Civil or Larsa4D (desirable) -Leadership training -Strong ability to communicate complex concepts to diverse audiences -Staff management and mentoring experience -Willingness to work occasional overtime to meet deadlines
