  • Take over new solutions from the Project Team and implement them in the Data Centre
  • Oversee the data centre’s standards and upkeep.
  • Manage data backup strategy and implementation
  • Maintenance, installation, and updates of data centre servers
  • Help Data Centre Manager with planning for capacity changes
  • Improve operational processes and documentation
  • Ensure Corporate Policies and Standards are being followed
  • Planning and Organizing
  • Work alongside and provide resources to the Project Team
  • Perform as deputy to the Data Centre Manager when they are absent
  • Leading and developing the Data Centre IT Service team
  • Management of Incidents, Problems and Change Controls
  • Planning for any probable disruptions, problems, and emergency

  • Highly Organized with Good Decision-Making and Judgment Skills
  • Customer service skills
  • Minimum of one year’s experience leading IT teams
  • Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems or related computing subjects
  • Project management fundamentals
  • Educated to a Bachelor’s, Master’s or PhD degree level in any of the following disciplines:
  • Experienced in Jira
  • Adapting and Responding to Change
  • Strong Understanding of Data Centre Infrastructure
  • Leadership skills
  • Strong Communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Analytical mind-set
  • Good Hardware and HPC Technologies Knowledge
  • ITIL Foundation level certification desired
  • Minimum of three years’ experience in relevant fields.
