Tasks

The Asset Manager will be responsible for the creation and implementation of asset plans, annual operational and capital budgets, client reporting, financial analysis, value-add opportunities, marketing strategies, and communication with 3rd party property management companies, stakeholders and other service providers in order to ensure that the assets in their portfolio meet or exceed targets. -Prepare, review, and present quarterly reporting to Clients; -Review and provide approval of capital projects, as well as monitor progress of projects to ensure timely completion and quality control; -Ensure compliance with conditions set in place by financial institutions/lenders, municipalities and other governing bodies; -Prepare leasing & marketing strategies to maximize the income profile & value of each property, supported by market-based comparable and competitive information; -Identify value creation opportunities and work with related stakeholders to implement such programs and projects -Complete full financial review and analysis every quarter; -Assist with acquisitions/dispositions, financing transactions, & investor/client relations activities; -Engage appropriate 3rd party providers for design-related capital projects; direct, review, and approve design projects for implementation with capital projects team; -Promote the Starlight brand in the real estate community; -Organize and lead property tours with Clients and other stakeholders. -Manage the property tax appeals process; -Create business/asset plans for new acquisitions; -Provide direction to 3rd party property management companies regarding day-to-day management and operation activities; -Evaluate performance of portfolio assets against the individual asset plans, and recommend and implement revisions as necessary; -Set annual operational and capital budgets;

What You Bring

The Asset Manager will possess a University Degree in Business, Finance, Urban Development or related field and a minimum of 5 years of relevant real estate experience, as well as, superior communication, organizational, analytical, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work well with various stakeholders while managing multiple priorities. MBA or professional designations are considered an asset. (Victoria or Vancouver, BC)
