Oversee successful delivery of vertical structure-related projects, ensuring quality, adherence to deadlines, and budget compliance. Manage overall practice utilization and financial performance, support quality management initiatives, mitigate project risks, and foster strong client relationships.

Supports and contributes to structures practice area financial performance
Participates in contract negotiations and interviews when proposals are won
Establishes effective communications throughout the structures technical service area
Meeting service line revenue goals
Supports and contributes to Development & Buildings service area and Structures engineering utilization budgeting
Provides input on proposals, staffing, and budgeting
Participates in client maintenance plans as directed by regional staff
Serves as Project Manager or subject matter expert on multiple projects within the structures practice area; may serve as Project Manager on large multidisciplinary projects
Aligns with leadership team on company goals and vision
Cross-selling technical service areas to existing clients
Management of overall utilization and realization of Structures practice
Oversees project deliverables within the Structures Practice of Development & Buildings service area, ensuring high-quality execution and adherence to deadlines and budgets
Participates in developing and administering structures marketing
Manages technical practice area employees through partnering with Development & Buildings Director and Transportation Director on performance quality and management, attendance, hiring within the technical practice area, training and mentoring, technical professional development, and the completion of annual performance reviews
Compiles project teams and pursues vetted work obtained through regional client development relationships
Oversee the design and analysis of vertical structures and buildings, including concrete, steel, timber, and masonry structures, ensuring compliance with engineering standards, codes, and regulations
Supports key client and partner relationships within structures service area per regional strategic plans

Highly developed written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to effectively present ideas and gain consensus from senior leadership
Related professional certification(s) or qualifications
Proficiency with industry-standard BIM software like Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD; experience creating, managing, and utilizing 3D and Finite Element Analysis (FEA) models
Previous project and client management experience on multiple projects of similar size, scope, and complexity
Ability to travel as needed for company leadership meetings and project related work
10+ years of relevant work experience within the vertical structures industry, including in-depth experience in steel and/or concrete structures. Experience with timber and masonry structures is also recommended.
Experience managing complex projects with multiple design packages, fast tracked projects, phased construction, and coordinating with a team of multiple stakeholders
Professional Engineer (PE) license in at least one state
Satisfactory annual quantity of successful cross-regional or cross-service projects or initiatives executed
Bachelor’s degree in related business field
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification; preferred
Experience in Bluebeam Revu, SharePoint, MS Project or other PMIS
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction, or related field
