Application Engineer

Overview

Design fire alarm systems per project specs, coordinate, and ensure compliance.

Tasks

-Ensures that the proposed engineered solution meets project requirements in terms of functionality, standards, quality, and supporting documentation. -Preparation of technical submittal & Sending RFQ with supplier. -Developing good work practices -Ensures that the implementation of application is reviewed with respect to project standards and quality documents -Monitors and controls assigned work scope against the project plan, ensures effective change control, and identifies risks / opportunities. Should also be able to manage additional resources to meet the project delivery. -Demonstrate adherence to operational process requirements to drive efficiency -Review Technical specification of the projects to understand the project requirements. -Should be able to maintain assigned KPIs and should own to meet them. -Ensures that the final deliverable meets the functional specifications of the customer by doing the quality checks. -Ensure group work in compliance with QMS procedures. Identify possible improvement opportunities and manage their implementation. -Developing standard procedures to save time -Preparation of Compliance document and cost comparison. -Minimizing number of Engineering changes -Co-ordination with the Architects, Clients and Contractors at various stages of the project -Ensure common methods, techniques, tools, and products are being effectively applied and provide feedback for future improvement. -Time bound delivery of project deliverables -Should act as interface to customers and is responsible to ensure that projects are executed within agreed schedule and budget to meet the customer technical specification requirements.

What You Bring

-5-11 years’ experience in Fire alarm design. -Should be able to develop Typical / Templates for Complex systems and develop project specific standards. -ME/BE/ Diploma (Electrical/ Electronics/Instrumentation/ Electronics & Telecommunication) -Knowledge on NFPA 72, IBC & Relevant codes & standards. -Should have sound knowledge of ACAD to work independently carry out post sales design and engineering of Fire alarm - Hardware Detail Design, Engineering and Application Development, Battery Calculations, Voltage drops calculations, wiring diagram and matrix etc. -Usage of engineering tools for optimization of Engineering man hours to improve productivity & Quality -Should be work as project owner and works independently. He/she should be fully proficient in applying established standards/practices. -Ability to be a team player -Should have strong domain knowledge of Fire Alarm (Simplex, Edwards, Notifier etc...,) -Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work with detail as well as with general assignments -Good knowledge of AutoCAD
