Tasks
Develop & Implement Safety Programs -Educate teams on hazard recognition, PPE use, and emergency procedures. -Conduct regular site visits, safety audits, and inspections on active commercial construction projects. -Support project teams in preconstruction and planning meetings to identify and mitigate risks. -Promote open communication and accountability to build a company-wide culture of safety. -Maintain and test emergency response and evacuation plans. -Coordinate drills and training with local emergency responders. -Stay current with evolving construction safety standards and best practices. -Lead investigations into incidents, injuries, and near-misses to determine root causes. -Prepare and submit incident reports to company leadership and regulatory agencies. -Conduct new hire orientations, weekly toolbox talks, and company-wide safety meetings. -Oversee the procurement and maintenance of safety equipment and supplies. -Identify hazards, evaluate risk controls, and ensure corrective actions are implemented and tracked. -Partner with superintendents, project managers, and trade partners to integrate safety into daily operations. -Serve as the primary contact for OSHA and other regulatory visits or inspections. -Maintain accurate records, permits, and documentation. -Align programs with company goals and recommend initiatives to strengthen safety culture and performance. -Be a key leader in shaping a strong safety culture across a growing commercial construction company. -Create, implement, and enforce site-specific safety plans and company-wide procedures in line with OSHA and regulatory requirements. -Develop and deliver engaging safety training for employees, supervisors, and subcontractors. -Recommend updates to policies and procedures to improve company-wide performance.

What You Bring
-Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions. -Excellent communication, organization, and leadership skills. -Ability to lift and move items up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis. -Proven ability to train, coach, and influence field personnel and subcontractors. -Ability to walk, climb, bend, and stand for extended periods on active construction sites. -Must wear required PPE at all times when on project sites or in warehouse environments. -Willingness to travel regularly to project sites. -Frequent travel between job sites (fuel covered via company-provided gas card). -Proficient with Microsoft Office and safety management software. -Strong working knowledge of OSHA regulations, safety management systems and construction safety best practices. -Minimum 5 years of safety experience, preferably in commercial construction. -Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Construction Management, Environmental Health, or related field (or equivalent experience). -OSHA 30-hour certification required; CHST, CSP, or similar professional certification preferred. -Valid driver’s license, safe driving record, and reliable personal vehicle required.
