Sheet Metal Shop Helper

Overview

Assist sheet metal mechanics in fabricating, installing and repairing ductwork.

Tasks

-Responsible for working with fiberglass, plastics, and other nonmetallic materials. -Assisting with carrying material, grinding, chipping and any other basic duties' the Journeymen Sheet Metal worker may need -The Sheet Metal Helper will assist the Sheet Metal Mechanic/Installer to sketch for fabrication, fabricate, assemble, install, and repair sheet metal ducts. -Use scribers, dividers, and squares to mark dimensions on materials. -Measure and cut appropriate size of sheet metal, as well as install preassemble duct

What You Bring

-Experience working with hand tools and power tools -Experience in commercial duct installation is a plus. -General knowledge of piping and controls, AC install, retrofit, fiberboard is a plus -Strong working knowledge of job site safety
