The Role

Overview

Create and coordinate MEP BIM models and drawings using AutoCAD/Revit.

Tasks

As a CAD/BIM Digital Designer, you will draft, convert, produce, and edit plans for drawings and other CAD/BIM generated products. -Assist with the management of Revit files and projects -Produce drawings/projects consistent with instruction, guidelines, and CAD/BIM standards -Modify Architectural CAD/BIM files for use in MEP design drawings (clean-up, audit, reference, troubleshooting) -Support the BIM manager in setting up Revit templates, family creation, and staff support -Draft/generate redlines for plans, diagrams, and schedule drawings in AutoCAD and/or Revit from redlined drawings -Provide design assistance and calculations to Designers and Engineers -Review BIM models for coordination using Revit and Navisworks -Prepare projects for client submissions

What You Bring

This is a great opportunity for a CAD/BIM Digital Designer with experience working with AutoCAD and REVIT MEP. To succeed in this role, you will need effective organizational skills, the ability to prioritize workload and be a team player with strong communication skills. -Possess basic drafting skills -Available to work necessary hours in order to meet project deadlines -Familiar with at least one: Mechanical, Electrical, or Plumbing trades -7 to 10 years of working experience with an MEP firm in a CAD/BIM role -Experience with manipulating and receiving various file formats -Knowledge of drawings to understand red marks -Experience with the MS Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, and Reader -Associate's degree or completion of trade school or equivalent formal training -Able to read floor plans, sections, and elevations
