What You Bring

-Technical degree or diploma in environmental science, biological sciences, or site investigation -Underwater acoustics -Minimum bachelor’s or master’s degree in environmental science, environmental management, biology, science, forestry, or related field -Experience in the collection of biological and physical field data. Experience on marine mammal programs or prior work on vessels is an asset -Comfortable with living on and directing a small team on a marine vessel in close quarters, in remote locations, and for 2-3 weeks at a time -Knowledge of relevant local, provincial, and federal environmental legislation and policies -General knowledge of relevant local, provincial, and federal environmental legislation and policies -Must be a good communicator, leader, and problem-solver with a positive attitude -Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience or a combination of education and experience -Comfortable with living and working on a marine vessel in close quarters, in remote locations, and for 2-3 weeks at a time -Minimum bachelor’s degree in environmental science, environmental management, science, biology, forestry, or a related field -Ideal candidates will have experience in any or all of the following (field- or desktop-based): - Distance line transect sampling (design, implementation, and analysis)
