Tasks

-Conduct or direct activities aimed at identifying potential hazards and developing safety action plans to correct any non-compliance issues and work with operations and management for implementation. -Prepare and maintain safety related records and reports; including but not limited to OSHA 300 logs and incident data for their region and/or assigned client. -Perform safety presentations and develop safety presentations and related training as required. -Shall participate in the hiring and managing site safety coordinators and managers. -Maintaining body equilibrium and agility to prevent falling when walking, standing, crouching, ascending or descending stairs. -Notify the Director of Safety and DSM of any OSHA inspection within their region and provide guidance to their local resources and/or attend if physically feasible. -Participate in claims reviews for claims within their region and Division as needed -Deliver and coordinate safety training for management in accident prevention techniques, compliance with IES safety policies, procedures and programs and federal and state standards. -Ensure implementation and compliance with IES Safety Policies, Procedures and Programs within the Communications Division and Site/Client Site Specific Policies, Procedures and Programs. -Teach, counsel and mentor all stakeholders to uphold the IES Safety Culture. -Support and provide guidance for operations in development of an action plan for any branch, office or project within their region not meeting safety goals and expectations. -As needed, prepare written reports and summaries to provide concise, meaningful information regarding safety audits, investigations and issues. -Develop processes and plans to reduce or eliminate hazards and safety incidents. -Establish committees, conference calls/video, etc. to establish communication within their region. -Conduct and coordinate root cause investigations on recordable incidents, first aid incidents, near misses and vehicle incidents. -Utilize the root cause analysis to help operations identify and implement corrective actions to help prevent future recurrence of similar incidents. -Must promote Company culture and mission to all employees, vendors, clients and business partners. -Schedule and coordinate safety audits/inspections to determine compliance with all IES and Site/Client safety policies, procedures, and programs and federal, state safety standards. -Fully support all IES and Site/Client safety policies, procedures, and programs and Federal and State Standards. -Bending the body at the waist, the legs at the knees, and extending arms and hands in any direction in a repetitive manner.

What You Bring

-Must possess the ability to learn the Company and Client computer systems. -Knowledge and experience with the Confined Space Entry Standards 1926.1200 Subpart AA. -Must possess proven problem solving and critical thinking skills and the ability to effectively read, write and give oral presentation(s). -Associate degree or higher. -Ability to communicate effectively with project stakeholders including field personnel, IES management and Client interfaces -Must be able to act as the Company liaison for interface with Client, vendor, contractor, and IES representative(s). -Must be self-motivated, positive in approach, professional and lead others to create, develop and implement project process improvement(s). -CHST (Construction Health/Safety Technician) Certification or equivalent required. -Prior EMT certification/experience preferred -Authorized OSHA OTI 500 Construction Outreach Trainer or equivalent training certification preferred. -Ability to respond as needed in support of all safety emergency situations with or without advance notice. -Must have proven ability to manage multiple tasks/projects simultaneously. -Proficient computer knowledge and experience utilizing MS Office (WORD, EXCEL, PowerPoint & Outlook) -Must possess manual dexterity, flexibility and visual acuity to perform inspection functions requiring walking, climbing, squatting, lifting, bending, twisting, etc. -Knowledge of the OSHA 29 CFR 1926 Safety and Health Regulations for Construction. -Must possess a minimum of seven (10) years’ experience in construction safety, preferably in the telecommunications or electrical industry; or a combination of related work experience (to be reviewed). -Excellent written and verbal communication skills -Must be able to travel within the branch territory and/or regional territory as needed. -Must meet Company minimum driving standards. -Must be able to lift 50 lbs. and distinguish all applicable codes, colors and symbols correctly. -Must be detail-oriented with high level organizational skills
