Dining Room Server- Full Time

Overview

Serve meals and assist residents in dining room at senior living facility.

Key Responsibilities

Tasks

-Ensure all meals delivered are garnished -Provide a high satisfactory level of customer service to promote a restaurant style dining atmosphere -Ensures the proper use of equipment and supplies and upholds cleaning and safety standards -Greet residents when taking and serving meal selections -Ensure proper dining room setup and proper table setting -Complete side work: napkin folding, stocking and cleaning wait station, refilling condiments -General duties include but are not limited to: cleaning, mopping, sweeping, and dusting the kitchen and dining room -Assist residents with seating in the dining room -Ensures proper garbage and trash removal -Responsible for resetting table during and after dining service

What You Bring

-Knowledge of table clearing techniques during and after dining service -Knowledge of individual diet needs as prescribed by physician -High School Graduate or equivalent -Must fully understand the importance of reliability and timeliness -Knowledge of customer service principles and practices -Understand menu items and ability to explain preparation methods -Must be able to follow recipes and menus -Experience in serving in an upscale dining environment is preferred -Able to make independent decisions -Must possess a passion to work with and around senior citizens -Must be able to communicate a warm, friendly and caring manner -Able to communicate effectively with all levels of management, team members, residents, family members, vendors, referral sources and outside contacts
