Tasks
-Perform advanced correlation studies to understand trends and relationships within workforce data. -Support the development of a corporate-wide employee listening strategy to strengthen The City's ability to generate actionable employee insights over time. -Provide consultation and support in the assessment and implementation of technology solutions to sustain the employee listening program. -Design, implement and optimize data management processes and systems. -Leverage data collection methods, applications, and automation to collect, store and integrate complex workforce datasets, ensuring data is mined, cleansed, analyzed and reportable. -Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and data visualizations using tools such as Power BI to support strategic initiatives. -Manage data collection; analyze and interpret complex datasets of workforce metrics. -Apply a project management approach to substantive pieces of work, ensuring work is delivered on time and meets customer expectations. -Champion best practices in Power BI dashboard design and data visualization to enhance workforce analytics and decision-making. -Develop conceptual, logical and physical data models, maintain data catalogs, and document data lineage.

What You Bring
-Experience with workforce-related analytics and insights is required. -A degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Software Engineering, Data Engineering or related area and at least 8 years of experience including experience in data warehousing, business intelligence, data modeling, data architecture and data integration. -Demonstrated experience leading data-driven projects and initiatives using a project management framework. -The ability to translate business strategies into actionable data solutions and drive business improvement. -Experience must include a combination of developing, implementing, and monitoring data architecture, data integration, master data management, data analysis, and continuous improvement of data. -Successful applicants must provide proof of qualifications. -Success in this position requires strong problem-solving skills, analytical thinking, attention to detail and exceptional communication skills to present data insights. -At least 2 years of experience creating complex DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) calculations and implementing advanced data modeling within Power BI. -Advanced proficiency in Power BI with at least 4 years of experience in data visualization and reporting, including the ability to design interactive dashboards and optimize performance for large, complex datasets. -Previous experience with employee listening campaigns will be considered an asset. -Experience with SQL, ETL, Python (or similar); Java Business Intelligence (BI) or Business Objects tools.
