The Role

Overview

Summer internship assisting highway engineers with calculations, drafting, and project work.

Tasks

-Draft engineering plans by CADD programs following project engineer’s directions. -Work alongside junior and senior level engineers to execute project deadlines. -Address project engineer’s plan review comments. -Work across multiple disciplines with other interns and professional staff. -Collaborate with technical and design staff to complete billable real-time client work. -Assist project engineer to perform engineering calculations.

What You Bring

-Highly motivated and able to work in a fast-paced environment. -Ability to read, write and understand English for purposes of comprehending written job-related communications and verbal instructions and interactions. -Must be eligible to work in the U.S. -Currently enrolled in a related-engineering program from a university or college physically located in the United States. -Prior internship experience and great communication skills is a plus. -Transportation Engineering II is plus. -CADD program (AutoCAD or Microstation) experience is preferred.
