Tasks

As a Purchasing Assistant, you will oversee the purchasing process for various categories of goods, focusing on enhancing business value and identifying new financial opportunities in alignment with company strategies, guidelines, and procedures. -Reduce costs and improve supplier relationships by consolidating purchasing, maximizing value, and ensuring consistent quality and compliance. -Manage assigned categories of goods in line with technical requirements while ensuring business optimization. -Participate in the supplier selection process to ensure alignment with company goals. -Advocate for a corporate culture centered around safety and compliance. -Monitor supplier performance to ensure it meets the needs and standards of the Group. -Negotiate purchasing terms with suppliers to meet objectives and align with internal stakeholders’ expectations. -Collaborate with other departments within Sofidel America to support purchasing functions effectively. -Implement best practices and continual improvements within the purchasing process.

Your expertise will be a valued part of our team! -Excellent communication and collaboration skills. -Experience with SAP is preferred. -Bachelor’s degree in Purchasing, Supply Chain Management, or equivalent business experience. -Ability to work under time pressure and meet deadlines. -2+ years of purchasing and customer service experience, preferably within the manufacturing industry. -Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and work independently. -Strong internal and external customer service skills.
