Your time will be spent investigating, analyzing, and solving structural and architectural deficiencies involving existing buildings, parking structures, plazas, and other types of built structures. Your work will solve complex problems, many of which have no clear precedent and require fundamental and creative solution approaches. You will work closely with an interdisciplinary team of project managers, structural engineers, and architects to develop these solutions which ultimately add value and longevity to the built environment.

  • Prepare technical reports for clients that summarize your field investigation, analysis, and recommendations
  • Perform engineering site visits during construction to observe the implementation of your design
  • Perform condition assessments, investigations, field testing, and construction observations to gather field data, document existing conditions, and prepare field reports. You will have the opportunity to work on different types of facade, roof, and structural systems
  • Analyze field data and perform structural analysis via hand calculations or computer modeling to check as-built conditions or to perform strengthening design
  • Work with a project team to prepare design documents, including project drawings and specifications
  • Assist in project coordination and meetings with internal team members
  • Review project submittals and shop drawings as part of construction administration services
