The Role
Overview
Manage valuations, procurement, cost control, and contract administration for civil engineering projects.

Tasks
-Assessment of sub-contractors’ payment applications, issue of sub-contract payment notices and making payments to sub-contractors -Keeps people informed of progress on key tasks -Assessing and submitting quotations for compensation events -Notification of compensation events -Contract administration of sub-contracts -Takes responsibility for managing own performance and personal development -Accurate production of internal valuations, sub-contract liabilities and cost value reconciliations in line with the company commercial reporting timetable -Measurement of quantities both on site and from drawings, where required -Preparation and submission of interim payment applications and project final accounts -Working closely with the Esh project team to monitor progress and to identify and effectively manage risks & opportunities -Working together with the Esh project team to ensure that good quality & accurate site records are kept and maintained -Procurement of sub-contractors in line with the project programme -Conducts themselves in a courteous and professional manner -Notification of early warnings and playing a key role in risk reduction

What You Bring
-Is open to new ideas and listens to other people’s point of view -Excellent telephone skills -Ability to communicate clearly and appropriately -Is punctual and reliable -Knowledge and experience in using civil engineering standard forms of contract including NEC3 and NEC4 -Displays good time management skills -Valid UK driving licence -Able to produce accurate work within required deadlines -Minimum of a relevant HND or equivalent in quantity surveying/civil engineering -Polite and approachable at all times -Excellent written and verbal communication skills -Experience of working on civil engineering projects
