Overview
Install, test, and maintain protective relay & control systems, RTUs, and related equipment.

Tasks
-Accurately reviewing, documenting, and submitting test reports used for client reporting and regulatory purposes. -Test plan building -Accurately completes time and expense reports along with maintaining good condition of assigned company vehicle. -Functional testing for protection and control circuitry associated with transmission lines, HV bus, transformer, circuit breaker, feeder, reactors, and capacitor banks. -Communicate with client about daily testing activities, schedules, anticipated roadblocks, material/testing issues, etc.. -Installation, commissioning, testing, and maintenance of protective relay equipment, powerline carrier equipment, digital fault recorders (DFR’s), remote terminal units (RTU’s), and communication processors.

What You Bring
-Desired experienced with GE microprocessor relays such as C30, D60, F35, L90, T35 and T60. -Interpret one line, three line, wiring, schematic diagrams, communication configurations with ability to recognize and bring attention to discrepancies. -Relay testing -RTU/SCADA testing -Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently. -Experienced with SEL microprocessor relays such as 311C, 311L, 387, 411L, 421, 487B, 487E, 487V, 587, 587Z, and 787. -Work overtime as needed and willingness to travel extensively to client work locations -Checkout and prove RTU points -RTU and telecom upgrades for various clients -Ability to work in a field environment subject to changing outdoor conditions -Take and pass 30 hour OSHA training -Have a valid drivers license and meet minimum motor vehicle insurability standards -Required experienced with various RTU’s and communication processors such as GE, Telvent, SEL, Cooper, and Novatech. -Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, stand for extended periods, drive regularly, with or without reasonable accommodations
