Tasks

The ideal candidate would be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and managing the day-to-day finance operations of the business. This includes processing supplier and customer transactions, managing payroll, preparing VAT and Revenue returns, and ensuring all accounts are fully reconciled. The role supports the Managing Director and the Operations Director by providing up-to-date financial information, assisting with management reporting, and maintaining compliance with statutory requirements. The ideal candidate will have excellent attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and hands-on experience using Xero or similar accounting software in a busy service provider environment. Support internal controls and audit readiness Process invoices, payments and supplier statements Prepare VAT returns and support wider statutory compliance Maintain accurate financial records and reconciliations Assist with preparation of monthly management accounts Assist with payroll preparation using BrightPay Support budgeting and forecasting activities Provide general administrative and financial support to senior team members -Manage Payroll & Statutory Compliance -Maintain Accurate Financial Records -Support Management Reporting & Audit Readiness -Oversee Payables & Receivables -Reconcile Accounts Monthly

What You Bring

Proficient user of Xero or similar cloud-based accounting software EHS International is seeking a Junior Accountant to support our expanding finance function. This role suits someone progressing in their accounting career who is confident with day-to-day financial operations, reporting and reconciliations. You will work in a busy office environment and gain hands-on experience across core finance activities. Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines Strong communication and organisational skills Minimum 3 years’ accounting experience Part qualified or recently qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CPA or equivalent) an advantage Highly proficient in MS Excel with strong data management skills Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment Strong analytical and numerical ability
