  • Provide and or support construction administration for projects designed by you as well as by others.
  • Responsible for electrical design and working documents production on projects of varying complexity/size supporting design for buildings, underground electrical distribution systems, lighting, and wiring means.
  • Performs calculations using company standard software, and proprietary manufacturer software.
  • Utilizes BIM technologies in development of three-dimensional models of building and utility systems.
  • Participates in project coordination meetings with internal team members and/or external consultants.
  • Engages in the development of a design through sketches, electronic models, diagrams, and other visual formats.
  • Engages in the preparation and coordination of the project specifications with construction documents.
  • Prepares and revises documentation during various electrical project phases.
  • Participates in client project requirement meetings.
  • Assists team leads with developing and managing the project scope, budget, staffing and schedule.
  • Assists in the development of tools, methodology, and detail libraries for preparation of electrical working documents.
  • Conducts quality assurance and quality control of working documents.

  • Strong Revit experience.
  • Comprehensive knowledge and application of Canadian Electrical Code and applicable building, utility, and energy codes.
  • The ideal candidate will have 5 years of experience.
  • General understanding of all phases of project document production and the relationship between drawings and specifications.
  • Proficient experience with design software, e.g. Revit, and AGI32.
  • Advanced oral and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of electrical systems means and methods, materials, and industry standards.
  • Thorough understanding of electrical design concepts and ability to effectively communicate ideas to others.
  • Ability to participate and collaborate in project team setting and to engage in creative and critical thought.
  • Requires understanding of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Training in electrical engineering technology from a recognized school required.
  • Ability manage time to meet project budget and schedule.
  • Knowledge of relevant codes and design standards preferred.
