Tasks

The ideal Construction Assistant Superintendent - Ground Up Construction will support the Construction Superintendent in managing all on-site activities and ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and according to specifications. This role is vital for maintaining quality control, enforcing safety protocols, and coordinating with various project teams. -Assist the Superintendent in overseeing daily construction site operations, ensuring smooth workflow, and resolving any on-site issues. -Monitor work to ensure compliance with design plans, building codes, safety standards, and quality specifications. -Enforce and monitor safety protocols, ensuring all team members adhere to OSHA standards and company safety policies. -Support the management of on-site personnel, ensuring clear communication and effective collaboration across all trades. -Assist in preparing and presenting daily progress reports to the Superintendent and project management team. -Work with subcontractors, vendors, and construction teams to ensure project schedules are maintained and resources are appropriately allocated. -Address and resolve any construction-related issues or delays in a timely manner, ensuring that project deadlines are met.

What You Bring

-Excellent organizational and communication skills. -Minimum of 1 year of experience in construction supervision or a related role. -Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and project specifications. -Familiarity with project management software (Procore etc.) is a plus. -Strong understanding of construction processes, building codes, and regulations in New York.
