Tasks

-Ensure compliance with ATCO’s accounting policies and financial standards. -Lead risk management initiatives and implement mitigation strategies. -Monitor performance against budgets and forecasts, providing insights to senior leadership. -Lead or support key business initiatives including acquisitions, divestments, and bid proposals. -Champion the transition to Oracle’s cloud-based ERP system for improved efficiency. -Oversee annual budgeting and multi-year financial planning aligned with corporate objectives. -Translate strategic priorities into actionable financial initiatives. -Conduct market and internal research to support forecasting and strategic decisions. -Support accurate and timely preparation of income tax returns. -Lead financial planning, analysis, and reporting to drive long-term success. -Develop and enforce accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls. -Build and maintain relationships with financial institutions and external partners. -Oversee union relations, working with the production team and the union representative when necessary and leading the contract negotiations team -Manage fixed assets, capital expenditures, and minimize bad debt exposure. -Lead and mentor high-performing teams, fostering a culture of accountability and growth. -Collaborate with internal departments to support business deliverables and initiatives. -Oversee monthly forecasting and ensure timely reporting. -Align team development with organizational goals and evaluate performance outcomes. -Promote fiscal discipline and accountability across business units. -Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting and documentation. -Manage recruitment, onboarding, and performance cycles for direct and indirect reports. -Oversee cash management, credit control, and banking relationships. -Analyze financial systems and data to identify cost-saving opportunities and operational efficiencies. -Review financial models to inform budgeting and business planning.

What You Bring

-Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office Suite. -Proven success in strategic planning and execution. -Strategic thinker with strong planning, analytical, and organizational skills; results-oriented and methodical -Experience with systems implementation and process improvement. -CPA designation with 10+ years of progressive experience in a production or manufacturing environment. -Ethical and composed, with a fact-based approach to decision-making and respect for reporting structures. -Collaborative leadership style with motivational and influencing capabilities. -Demonstrated ability to lead through influence and effective management.
