Tasks

-Performs preventative maintenance on HVAC/Mechanical systems and components as required by the company. -Assist estimators with HVAC layout within building environment. -Performs all HVAC/Mechanical trade functions necessary to install, maintain and repair fixtures, equipment and systems per contract requirements and as directed by the shift lead or manager on duty. -Installs, services and repairs environment-control systems in commercial buildings, utilizing knowledge of refrigeration theory, pipefitting and structural layout. -Installs, services, and maintains environmental equipment/control systems.

What You Bring

-Have at least 5 years of experience as a Journeyman in servicing and repair of equipment. -Have good organizational skills with completing paperwork and managing refrigeration/parts inventory. -Be able to read both ladder and line wiring diagrams. -Formal apprenticeship with 4 or more years of training. -Must possess and maintain a Journeyman HVAC License in DC or MD -Average skill level with rigging, handling, and moving equipment. Seek out and correct potential problems before they occur -Siemens Apogee Factory training and/or JCI Metasys Factory Training preferred -Extensive knowledge of packaged direct expansion units, split systems, chilled water piping systems, DDC, pneumatic, and electric controls a must. -Must have or be able to obtain a Government Clearance (L Level) -Mounts compressor and condenser units on platforms or floor using hand tools, following blueprints or engineering specifications, the candidate must be familiar with Screw Type and Reciprocating Chiller. -Must be able to work 2 -Be able to communicate, work well with customers/co-workers, and handle being under pressure at times. -Have good trouble shooting skills with electrical circuits/components for refrigeration equipment and refrigerate piping systems.
