The Role

Overview

Support electric distribution projects by updating GIS data and performing field work.

Tasks

-Obtain and manipulate GIS data at state and municipality levels. -Identify data inconsistencies and communicate with appropriate resources to ensure accurate data updates in client systems. -Perform storm response work as needed. -Participate and collaborate in meetings with teammates, clients, and other stakeholders. -Reference as-builts, work management logs, and other documentation to update GIS data reflecting completed electric distribution construction in the field. -Complete engineering design work and provide deliverables to clients.

What You Bring

-Experience with CAD Software such as Bentley Systems (MicroStation), Autodesk (AutoCAD, Civil 3D). -Willingness to perform both field and office work. -Experience with design, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and GIS Tech Software. -Ability to work in outdoor environments for field data collection. -Ability to utilize a personal vehicle. -Excellent verbal and written communication skills. -Knowledge of Utility Client Standards is preferred. -High School Diploma or equivalent. -Proficiency in GIS Software such as Small World, Esri Suite (ArcMap, ArcGIS, ArcWeb services and ArcGIS Server), QGIS. -0-2 years of relevant experience. -Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Visio, Outlook, etc.). -Willingness to travel overnight (10-20% travel). -Work effectively in an Agile team environment, prioritizing collaboration and feedback to meet high-quality standards.
