The Role
Overview
Operate road sweepers, maintain site cleanliness, support other plant duties.

Tasks
-Support other site operations as required, including dumper and roller driving during quieter sweeper periods. -Maintain accurate and up-to-date paperwork, timesheets, and maintenance logs. -Report any equipment issues or damages to your Line Manager promptly to ensure quick resolution. -Conduct basic sweeper maintenance, including changing brushes and keeping the vehicle clean inside and out. -Maintain compliance with site safety and highway regulations at all times. -Wash down and clean the sweeper before leaving the site or entering highways. -Operate road sweepers to ensure roadways, gullies, and work areas remain clean and safe. -Load vehicles safely with the correct materials, avoiding contamination and following all environmental, health, and safety protocols. -Plan daily workload efficiently to minimise disruption on-site. -Perform daily and weekly visual and operational checks to ensure the vehicle is in good, safe working order.

What You Bring
-Experience with left-hand drive vehicles. -Valid HGV Licence and Driver CPC qualification. -Good timekeeping, reliability, and attention to detail. -Previous experience working onsite and operating plant. -All PPE and specialist tools provided -Strong communication skills with a proactive and professional attitude. -Understanding of Health & Safety protocols on construction sites. -Familiarity with basic vehicle maintenance (training provided if required). -Resilience and ability to remain calm in challenging road or site situations. -Reasonable level of physical fitness to manage sweeper maintenance and cleaning duties. -Familiarity with two-way radios and operational manuals.
